Models5 October,2015Mongo
The Advance Design trucks came in a variety of models in a variety of series. The series designation identified the general type of truck, such as a 1/2 Ton Light Duty Truck. The model number than identified the specific model type within a particular series, such as Pick Up Box. This information is summarized below in two tables.
Advance Design Series Designations
The “Series Number” was not used until the 1949 trucks. For 1947 and 1948, only the two letter designation was used. Wherever “n/a” appears, that particular series was not available in that year.

Advance Design Model Numbers
Not all models were available with all series. For example, you would not have a 5100 series truck with an 07 Canopy Express body. When a particular truck would be identified the model number would replace the last two digits of the series number. So a 3/4 Ton Medium Duty Truck with a Pick Up Box would be identified as a 3604.
